The Megger MOM3 is a handheld, high-current micro-ohmmeter designed for ease of use, versatility, and safety. Its rugged, lightweight, and ergonomic design makes it ideal for fieldwork, with a carrying strap for easy transport. The robust rubber body ensures extra durability.

With extended battery life, it supports a full day of testing without recharging and can store over 2000 test values. Data transfer is seamless via USB-C to a PC.

The MOM3 utilises ultracapacitors for high-current output, delivering up to 300 A for resistance values up to 2 mΩ. Its low internal resistance ensures a stable, regulated current throughout testing. Ultra-short measurement times prevent heating of the test object, eliminating the need for bidirectional measurements.

Unlike traditional heavy and complex instruments, the MOM3 allows technicians to work faster, smarter, and with greater confidence. Designed for HV & MV environments, it provides repeatable and accurate low-resistance (µΩ) measurements without cumbersome equipment.

Its portable, battery-powered, and intuitive interface enhances usability, minimising downtime. High current injection ensures accuracy and repeatability, reducing the need for repeated tests and preventing costly failures or unexpected maintenance.

Megger MOM3 Applications:

The Megger MOM3 is ideal for various applications, including:

• Contact resistance testing and connection checks:
  • Perfect for low, medium, and high-voltage circuit breakers
• Testing of busbar joints and connections
• Low resistance which needs to be verified:
  • Switches, disconnecting devices, safety ground connections, welding points, fuses and cables

If the measured resistance is abnormally high this will lead to power loss and temperature rise, which often leads to serious trouble. To avoid such problems, it is necessary to check the resistance at regular intervals.
