Megger MOM2 The Lightweight, Hand-held 200 A Micro-ohmmeter
MOM2 is a micro-ohmmeter that revolutionised the high current measurement field, using patented super-cap technology mom2 measures contact resistance by pushing 200Amps out of a an instrument the size and shape of a modern multi-meter. Flexible kelvin clamps provide easy connection to different types of surfaces and objects. It is hand-held and battery-powered; it is truly portable thus practical to use in all situations regardless of you whether you are working out of a sky lift, a ladder or inside a tight cubicle. If you need fast accurate and convenient testing you can use probes to quickly document any number of test points in a consecutive order. In a situation where you can’t see the display a sound tells you if the measurement has passed or failed. The test result log file can be downloaded for external processing via an optional Bluetooth connection.

The MOM2 is designed to measure the resistance of circuit breaker contacts, bus-bar joints and other high-current links.
MOM2 uses an ultra capacitor to generate the high output current. The ultra capacitor is able to store a huge amount of energy compared to conventional capacitors and can deliver very high current during the discharge thanks to its very low internal resistance. The microhmmeter can be used anywhere to measure a low resistance value with high accuracy.
With MOM2 it is possible to make measurements according to the DualGround method. This means that the test object will be grounded on both sides throughout the test giving a safer, faster and easier workflow.
