High Voltage Test Instruments MCAT100 Micro Cross Arm Tester Kit
The Micro Cross Arm Tester has been developed to identify problems on unearthed wooden poles on three phase, or single phase overhead line systems where there is a high prospective short circuit current (ISC) calculated in the pole and to indicate if it is at a potentially dangerous level.
Faulty Insulators can be identified with the aid of the TX Transmitter.
Designed to comply with the requirements of IEC 61481 for use on Nominal System Voltage of 11kV.

Probe Socket Connects the Probe Lead Plug

TX - Transmitter Key Features:
Voltage checking when the unit touches the live conductor, if the voltage on the conductor is above the voltage threshold setting of the Transmitter, it automatically starts the voltage checking sequence, after 5 seconds if the line is live, both RED LEDs will light solid and the Line Phase Angle is transmitted to the MCAT Base Unit.

Micro Cross Arm Tester - Probe Key Futures:
The Probe has a 60mm Hook and a Housing to which is attached the 6 Pole connector plug and special insulated lead end
TX module and Probe must be used in conjunction with suitable insulating operating rods, to ensure a safe working distance from the HV source.
