Metrel A 1532 XA EVSE Adapter XA (Load Taking)
Metrel EVSE adapters allow you to test any manufacturers charge point completely from the charger socket through the installation and supply circuits. A 1532 XA EVSE Adapter is perfect for testing electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) with extra analysis.
- It is intended for testing Mode 3 EV supply equipment with a type 2 connector
- XA version supports 3 phase load testing up to 13 A and different error types, including PE open
Metrel A 1532 XA Key Features:
- Connects directly to charge points without opening the box
- Simulates the electric vehicle charging status at the turn of a switch
- Disconnected, charge ready, charging (with or without ventilation) and error state
- Extended range to enhance error state analysis
- Diode short test - to confirm EVSE’s reaction to a vehicle diode failure
- PE open test - simulating an earth fault and confirm EVSE’s reaction
- Communication Port (CP) short test – to confirm response to communication failure
- Offers load testing through the 13 A socket to confirm in a real manner the operation of the EVSE
- and its test adapter and give access to the circuit for a wiring tester
- Simple connection to the charge points via a type 2 EV plug, and to the tester using the BS1363 socket
- All 3-phases can be accessed using standard 4 mm connections
The A 1532 XA can be used with any installation tester, however optimum performance is achieved with Metrel Multi-function Testers (compatible with the MI 3155, the MI 3152 and the MI 3125 BT).
Extending the range of functional tests contractors and facility managers can subject their charging installation to, enabling them to troubleshoot, and complete a full EICR for the charging facility at regular intervals.
If used together with Metrel AutoSequences, prebuilt in the newer multifunctional testers, the complete EVSE charging station can be tested (state-by-state) electrically and functionally with a push of a button. It is possible to create a professional station-based report with MESM.
